Aeration
AERATION MAKES GREAT SENSE FOR YOUR LAWN
Northern NJ is an area where soil compaction is a major concern due to our soil types. Plant roots need air to grow and will die if they can't breath. This is a leading cause of bare spots in heavily used grassy areas. Aeration as explained in the image above is the easy solution to this soil problem.

Aeration is an important process as it reduces the amount of watering your lawn needs and increases the efficiency of fertilizer and applications. This minimizes disease, pests, and weeds.
This is what you can do to ensure your lawn and plants continue to stay lush and green:
-
Make sure your watering every other day.
-
If your lawn looks dry-double up a watering.
-
Continue to hand water newly installed plants.
-
Ensure your lawn receives 1" of water per week. The best way to measure this is to place a coffee can on your lawn and measure your weekly total. A tuna fish can full of water represents about 1"
-
Lawns may need more than 1" of water during excessive dry spells.
-
Contact us if you have any watering questions.

Properly irrigated lawns have fewer weeds and require less feeding and repairs.
Please note that newly planted shrubs and planters should be hand watered as sprinklers are not adequate. Plants that perish from insufficient watering are not covered by our guarantee.
As always, please contact us if you any questions or concerns or would like to schedule to have your sprinkler controller adjusted.

SAFER FOR YOUR FAMILY, PETS & ENVIRONMENT
Camberly Gardens’ Organic Division works to reduce your landscape’s reliance on pesticides and other chemicals. We believe that the organic approach is a better option than traditional synthetic programs, as it is safer for your family, pets and environment. We also believe that a strong investment in the education of our team members is crucial for success. Camberly Gardens is proud to have earned NOFA accreditation and Rutgers certification. We are one of only a few organic applicators in New Jersey to have earned both.

This is accomplished through the best blend of organic and natural products as well as proper environmental practices. Our program promotes soil health and plant vigor while addressing disease, pH, weeds, and long-term viability.
